Dr. Anca Catona

Dr. Anca Catona holds both European and Canadian (University of Toronto) Honour Dental Degrees. After practicing for a period in Toronto, she became fascinated with the beauty of the West Coast and became established in Coquitlam in 2006, where she was warmly welcomed, and is currently highly regarded, by the community she provides dental care for.
Dr. Catona endeavors to expand her area of expertise through a multitude of continuing education courses. She also has a caring and attentive personality and especially loves working with children.

 In her free time, Anca is an avid practitioner of yoga as well as a true nature enthusiast. She often undertakes a variety of hikes and trips along with her beloved family.

Dr. Dan Catona

Dr. Dan Catona has expertise in a variety of scientific fields. Alongside with holding Honour Dental Degrees in both Canada (University of Toronto) and Europe, he is highly trained in both Physics and Dental Forensics (yes, much like the CSI television series). Dr. Catona always challenges the boundaries of his knowledge by continuously acquiring training in the latest cutting-edge technology, in order to provide the best, most up-to-date scientifically, treatment methods to his patients.
He moved from Toronto to the West Coast in the spring of 2006, and it has been the best decision he has ever made. He has found a community of the nicest patients a doctor could ever hope for!
This is the place where he hopes to spend many wonderful years with his loving wife Anca and their amazing daughter, Clea.

Dr. Wayne Elkerton

Dr. Elkerton graduated in 1984 from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia and has practiced in the same location ever since, first as an associate and then in 1989 as a partner in the newly formed Austin Dental Group. Dr. Elkerton’s philosophy has always been to provide the highest quality dentistry in a relaxing and casual setting, using the most up to date techniques and equipment. You will find computers in every operatory, intra-oral cameras and digital x-rays.

While at UBC, Dr. Elkerton met his wife Janis. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and maintained a career in hospital and community health nursing. Since 1993 Janis has been a municipal councillor in Pitt Meadows.

Their son Chris was recently married to Cora and both have plans for a number of years of university ahead of them.

Away from the office, Dr. Elkerton enjoys the occasional round of golf, and travel to warmer climates, where he and Janis enjoy scuba diving and underwater photography. You can see some of his photographs on the office walls. By far the majority of free time is spent outside in the yard looking after a constantly evolving landscape including two fish ponds and a substantial vegetable garden.
